The pandemic has been an ordeal for both consumers and
brands. Firms have had to adopt an innovative approach to compete and thrive in
this already very competitive world. A lot of retailers have turned towards
e-commerce to target more customers but setting up a website can be quite
complex. That is why Jarrold Store Folk
has been launched.
This is an online
marketplace introduced by Jarrold, a department store based in London. To
help other local businesses, the firm has dedicated a section of its e-commerce
website to local brands. It is supporting them by showcasing their products and
helping shoppers who wish to purchase quality products that are ‘closer to
home’. As such, you will be able to access products like Artisan crumpets and
rare cacti that are sourced from Norfolk easily on the online store.
The marketplace will feature homewares and lifestyle items,
fashion and beauty, and food and drink as well. Some of the brands with which
it has collaborated are Crumpetorium, Mindful Mixology and Pretty Cactus
Plants.
John Adams, the general manager at Jarrold, said: “Working with local
producers on Jarrold Store Folk is an amazing stage in the development of our
business but also a great way to celebrate Norfolk and its artisans”.
