In 2017, Alice and Maisie Jones started Sisters and Seekers in Hope, Flintshire. This fashion brand saw the
light of day in a garden shed. Now, it has turned into a multi-million pound
business. So, the founders have decided to take things further and to join the
brick and mortar sector.
The firm has a staff of 15 people and in 2020, it recorded a
turnover of £3m. So far, their success has been due to online sales and through Topshop. However, the latter’s physical
stores closed this year when Arcadia, its parent company went into
administration. So, the sisters have now decided to open their own outlet.
They plan to open a pop-up store in the centre of
Chester next month. It will be located on St Michael's Row in the Grosvenor
Precinct and will welcome customers as from the 4th of October until
the 10th. Moreover, if it is a success, the fashion brand might move
to the high street on a more permanent basis.
Alice and Maisie Jones, who are also the directors and lead
designers of Sister and Seekers said, “We
are so excited to be able to offer an in-store experience for our customers who
have only been able to shop our products online since the closure of Topshop”.
