The peak season for the merchants is coming up. To help its employees, Target has introduced a new mobile app. This is a scheduling application that will allow customers to choose shifts that are according to their schedules.

The US retailer has been enhancing its staffing model for over a year so that it can provide more stable hours and pay checks for its workers. During the upcoming holiday season, hourly team members will be offered more hours via the mobile app. This means that the company will hire fewer seasonal employees than previous years. According to Mark Schindele, Chief Stores Officer at Target, they have a great team that keeps delivering time and time again. Their employees show incredible resilience and flexibility to meet the needs of customers. As such, the firm has been investing a lot over the years to build an operating system that will benefit everyone.

The mobile app has been designed to offer workers more advantages, to cater to customers’ needs more efficiently and to drive the business. Since this system offers more stable schedules, it means that employees will have more consistent pay checks and a more efficient way to manage their life. The chief human resources officer at Target advanced, “When we invest in and care for our team we know that guest service improves, turnover goes down and team members can more easily build rewarding careers”.
