NFTs: the Beatles are entering the world of digital art collection

The craze of NFTs is still going strong. Recently, a collection of items owned by the Beatles was sold as digital art. Some of these accessories included clothes worn by John Lennon and hand-written notes by Paul McCartney.

This auction was announced by Julian Lennon, the son of the iconic member of the pop band. He wished to grant some fans with exclusive access to some of the most cherished memorabilia of his father. These accessories were sold as NFTs as part of the “Lennon Connection: The NFT Collection”. Those acquiring these non-fungible tokens have received audio-visual collectibles with narration by Julian Lennon alongside images of the items.

The bidding had an eclectic bunch of products which were guaranteed to appeal to many fans of the Beatles. The collection also included several guitars owned by John Lennon. Furthermore, there was the artist’s emblematic Magical Mystery Afghan coat and the black cape he wore on the set of the movie “Help!” There were a non-fungible token for the notes of “Hey Jude”, the hit song written by Paul McCartney as well.

Some of the proceeds from this sale went to Julian Lennon’s “White Feather Foundation” which deals with environmental and humanitarian problems.
