There is some good news for those living in Warrington.
Despite concerns about the coronavirus, Greggs
has decided to open a shop at Westbrook Centre. This will definitely bring
smiles to many faces during this difficult time.
The sausage rolls and bakery giant is currently going
through an expansion throughout the UK. It is investing into this even if there
are concerns about the coronavirus and the retail
sector is suffering. Indeed, twenty new Greggs will be opened across the
nation. The outlet in Westbrook is going to create nine jobs, which is positive
news. With people losing their employment, these are more needed than ever.
Liam O'Brien, the shop manager at Westbrook Centre, said,
“We cannot wait to open our doors and welcome customers from the community. We
are pleased to offer customers a range of tasty items on the go, but also
through click and collect”. Roisin Currie, retail and people director at
Greggs
advanced that this project will bring more jobs to the area and it will give clients,
both new and existing, a modern and convenient shop.
Besides the usual products, the outlet will have a range of
vegan goodies. It will be open as from 7am to 7pm, from Monday to Saturday and
9am to 4.30pm on Sundays.
