Tesco extends the validity of Clubcard vouchers

The Clubcard vouchers by Tesco were supposed to expire at the end of this month. Fortunately, the supermarket company has extended its validity.

As such, shoppers now have six more months, until November, to use coupons that were due to expire on the 31st of May. The decision to give clients more time comes at a right time since the coronavirus meant that they could not benefit from these. Typically, these coupons are valid for two years. The supermarket company said that it is going to update the expiry dates on the digital vouchers and they will continue to accept paper ones in stores.

However, clients are warned to be careful to differentiate between vouchers whose expiry dates were already extended. These will no longer be accepted. For instance, some were due to expire in November 2020, but the supermarket company extended the date till May 2021. These will run out at the end of the month.

To obtain vouchers through the Clubcard loyalty scheme, customers have to spend money purchasing from the form. This will help them build up points. For each £1 they spend in Tesco stores and online, they get one point and one for every £2 used on fuel. The cheapest voucher is 150 points and is worth £1.50.
