Identify and document the features you want
When you use a mobile app, you are unconsciously
creating a certain expectation on how your application would be like. The
important thing to do here is to identify and take note of all the features
that you like and you wish to have, because even what seems to be the simplest
and most common tool to you might be disregarded by your developer. So, have a list ready for him to work on.
Provide feedback
Giving feedback in a timely manner is very important. If you wait for too long,
your developer will get out of their flow and it will delay the completion of
the project. If you wish to have an effective, fully functional application
within an appropriate time frame, then provide timely and prompt feedback.
Ask questions
You might not understand all the technicalities of developing a mobile
app, but you must have a vision on how the user experience will be.
Things such as graphics, sound effects and transitions are very
important and you have the right to ask your developer questions on how he is
going to achieve the end-result. This will allow you to have a better idea on
the functioning and to know in advance whether they are changes to be made.
